Sabah
is part of
East Malaysia and offers the
adventurous travellers an extensive tropical rain forest. The
coastline is exquisite and you can enjoy the cultural exhibits. If you
prefer the luxurious hotels, they also cater for that. In this video
we show you some components of our journey through this fascinating
area. We start with the regional capital Kota Kinabalu, in this city
you will see traces of the English dominance. On an island near the
coast, we visited the Gayana Resort. The units are built on posts
above the water. On our walks, we encounter all species of animals,
and were also delighted with the glass bottom boat trip in the bay,
and saw the marina in its normal habitat. In the
Monsopiad
Culture
Village
, you can be brave and step into the house that
once belonged to a cannibal. Have no fear……. Only his spirit is
there. You can also see a gracious traditional Moujings Dance.
Mount
Kinabalu
is our next destination. You can see tea and palm
oil plantations for miles and miles. If you fancy Sukan hornbeak birds
and orangutans then wander around in the Nature Park.In Sandakan we
rest for a while before we finish the trip, with a visit to
Turtle
Island
.
