America: Route 66 "The Mother Road of America"

There is no highway in America where the culture and the romance of driving are more connected as route 66. Not for nothing is this legendary route called the " Mother Road of  America ." In this film we are making a report for you about the stretch of route 66 that  begins on the banks of Lake Michigan in the city of Chicago and takes us through 8 states.   Pioneers who in earlier times travelled west in their covered wagons made tracks in the landscape. It goes without saying that the new route 66 would follow the same track that was already entirely paved in 1903.In the towns along the route we cannot escape the numerous  shops of nostalgic bits and pieces and souveniers of route 66.The route 66 Museum in Clinton exhibits an extensive display of original history and life along the legendary route.  Enthousiastic volenteers place themselves along the route to preserve the Route 66 sentimentality and so here and there the picture is perfect.But as we near the end of route 66 after 5000 miles,there is little about the legend that remarkably and anonymously ends at Los Angeles in the surf of the Great Ocean.
