Malta
and Gozo
The history of
Malta
and Gozo has
been shaped by the different nations that possessed these beautiful
islands in the
Meditterranean
Sea
at various times.
Traces of their presence are found at the many different sites as we
shall show you in this film. First of all we take you on a walk
through the capital
Valletta
and so on to the walled
cities of Senglea, Vittoriosa, Sliema and St. Julian’s. Then we take
you on three trips over the islands. On the first trip we visit the
old capital city Mdina with its mystical atmosphere and quiet streets,
and then the Dingli Cliffs and the prehistoric cart tracks. The next
trip takes us to the colourful fishing village Marsxlokk followed by a
boat trip in the Blue Caves after which we visit the 3000 year old
temple of Hagar Qim. The third trip takes us to the north coast of
Malta
and then on
to her sister island Gozo.
St.
Pauls
Bay
is our first stop. By
way of Mellieha we travel to
Popeye
Village
and then make the
crossing to the much smaller Gozo. The citadel of the capital city
Victoria
, the spa town Xlendi
and the Azzurre Windo are places not to be missed. The film gives an
entertaining picture of the islands and all the interesting places to
visit are shown clearly on the maps.
