Canaries: La Palma

La Palma is the westernmost volcanic island of the Canaries. The island will very much suit those tourists who love peace and quiet and love walking. Extinct or dormant volcanoes dominate the south coast of the island. The inhabitants depend largely on agriculture. The most important produce is bananas. The northern part is much greener and criss-crossed with deep gorges. The film shows that this rather unknown island is an attractive destination with beautiful scenery and lots of footpaths. We take you around the most beautiful spots. Though the sun shines nearly every day, even in winter, La Palma doesn’t have any mass tourism, and if the inhabitants can help it, it’ll stay like this.
